FortiGate-101F

The FortiGate-101F is a high-performance, next-generation firewall (NGFW) from the FortiGate 100F series designed by Fortinet for medium and large enterprises and distributed enterprise networks at the campus or branch level. It combines advanced NGFW and secure SD-WAN capabilities into a single solution running FortiOS.

At the heart of the performance is the proprietary SOC4 (SP4) ASIC, which provides hardware-accelerated traffic processing, SSL inspection, IPsec VPN, and intrusion prevention without creating network bottlenecks. The firewall bandwidth reaches 20 Gbps, IPsec VPN reaches 11.5 Gbps, and latency is less than 5 μs.

The device is equipped with 22 GE RJ45 ports (including WAN, DMZ, management, HA, and switch ports), 4 GE SFP slots, and 2 10GE SFP+ FortiLink ports. The FG-101F differs from the base FG-100F in that it has a built-in 480 GB SSD and a redundant power supply (dual AC PSU 1+1).

Security is powered by FortiGuard's AI and machine learning services: IPS with more than 18,000 signatures, malware protection, URL/DNS filtering, application control, SSL inspection (including TLS 1.3), encrypted traffic inspection, Universal ZTNA and SD-WAN support. The appliance integrates into the Fortinet Security Fabric ecosystem with centralized management through FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer analytics.

The FortiGate-101F is FCC, CE, UL/cUL compliant, and USGv6/IPv6 certified, making it suitable for deployment in government and enterprise environments with high security requirements.
