FortiGate-100F

The FortiGate-100F is a next-generation firewall (NGFW) from the FortiGate 100F series manufactured by Fortinet designed for medium to large enterprises as well as enterprise networks at the campus or branch level. It provides comprehensive perimeter protection by combining NGFW, secure SD-WAN, Universal ZTNA, and network segmentation under the FortiOS operating system into a single solution.

The performance of the device is based on the proprietary SOC4 ASIC processor (SP4), which provides hardware acceleration of traffic processing, SSL inspection, IPsec VPN and IPS without bandwidth degradation. The firewall bandwidth reaches 20 Gbps, IPsec VPN reaches 11.5 Gbps, and packet processing latency is less than 5 μs.

The device is equipped with 22 GE RJ45 ports, including 2 WAN ports, 1 DMZ port, 1 management port, 2 HA ports, 12 switch ports, and 4 ports with RJ45/SFP shared interfaces, as well as 4 GE SFP slots and 2 10GE SFP+ FortiLink ports. Unlike the FG-101F, the basic version of the FG-100F does not have an integrated SSD, but is identical in terms of interfaces, performance, and supported security features.

Protection is provided by FortiGuard's AI and machine learning-powered services: IPS with more than 18,000 signatures, Application Control, URL/DNS filtering, antivirus, SSL inspection (including TLS 1.3), zero-day protection, and OT security. The appliance integrates into the Fortinet Security Fabric ecosystem with FortiManager management and centralized FortiAnalyzer analytics.

The FortiGate-100F complies with international standards FCC, CE, UL/cUL and is USGv6/IPv6 certified.
